What does it mean to you to be quirky and what do you love about it?
Being quirky is allowing your unique life expression to shine brightly. I love that quirkiness adds color, pizazz, individuality, and laughter into the world.

What’s a secret, unusual talent that you have?
I can hold a forearm plank for 9 minutes and I make a delicious Hot Toddy.

:: Quest ::

Where do you find your mojo?
Long philosophical chats with friends. Drawing in my journal. Lindy hop dancing. Swimming under stars. Helping people move with awareness, balance, joy, and cultivate compassion for their bodies.

Explain one experiment you’ve done that changed your life:
I flew to Thailand without a plan or a place to stay and traveled for 2 months. I was so scared to leave my business and worried about not having a specific itinerary. It was the most expansive experience of my life. I learned that EVERYTHING works out, always. Because it has to. And if you’re open to it, the people you need to meet and the places you need to see show up exactly when you need them to.

Also, when I stopped shampooing my hair. It’s a game changer for curly-haired folks! ;)

What’s your favorite recent discovery for…
Your home: Water + vinegar + essential oil of your choice (I like Lemongrass) in a spray bottle for a natural cleaning solution!
Your body: Those wall-paper nail art things. I got ones that had handwritten love letters on them. It’s a love note every time you look at your hands!
Your belly: American made brew, Switchel.
Your soul: this mantra: “My essence shines through”
Music: anything involving Eddie Vedder.
Writing: Alexandra Franzen’s fill in the blank scripts.
Art: Re-creating masterpieces at The Painting Lounge.

:: Mission ::

How do you celebrate the deliciousness of being quirky?
I surround myself with passionate people who make me laugh. Go on adventures near and far. Instagram skies. Emulate the 1940s. I take a lot of quiet time to appreciate all the mind-body-soul things. Wear bright colors and bold earrings. I smile, a lot.

What is your #1 tip for a fellow quirkster?
“Only connect.” ~EM Forster
